Caregiver Accused Of Beating Children
A nanny charged in the Magistrate's Court here today on charges of abusing a boy three years old on Tuesday.
Faezah Noor Said, 39, was charged with committing the offense at his home in Flat Seri Pinang here at around 10 am, on October 28 last year.
He was charged under Section 31 (1) (a) of the Child Act 2001 which provides for a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine if convicted.
According to the prosecution papers, the child was found with his hands tied behind his body and his legs were tied with a rope.

No plea was recorded before the Magistrate Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Wahab, who set a Dec. 5 for mention to enable the accused to counsel.
Earlier, in his appeal of a lower bond, the accused told the court that he had eight children to feed.
Muhammad Firdaus set bail at RM8,000 with one surety.
The prosecution was conducted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Khairul Fairuz Rahman.
